During my years as an interior designer, furniture designer, and photographer, I have collected different experiences and skills that I believe are not only related to each other but also related to the work of a game designer. I wish to expand my work field. and I am very motivated to become a Game Designer. My interest in design often circles the process. I am intrigued to explore a new kind of process in Game design.
After my bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture & Furniture Design at Konstfack in 2010, I have been building expertise in the profession and continuing to broaden and deepen my skills. I thrive when I get to analyze, investigate and reflect together with my colleagues. In my role as a creative lead at the architect studios Koncept and CoDesign, I had to find a red thread in every project and make sure to hold all the pieces together to create a beautiful and useful outcome. My responsibilities included analyzing, finding the project’s core values, and providing guidance to other team members by collecting references or creating sketches and drawings. It is exciting when a joint effort leads to new ideas and ways of thinking.
My interest in video and computer games is a big part of my life. Everything from sit-down evenings with friends to hardcore grinding sessions in mmorpgs. Using consoles from C64, Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and PC. I have always had a heartfelt interest in gaming. The hours I have put into gaming exceed most other activities. Games for me are about conveying emotions, communication, and storytelling. I see myself making the user feel, experience, and learn different things in a game, much like creating an architectural experience.
